Liverpool's international stars enjoyed a successful weekend with
respective countries in their World Cup Qualifying campaign.

With the World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign gathering pace, most of the reds' stars look to be well placed to be on their way to football's glittering tournament.

Daniel Agger is out to prove that he is now back to full fitness by playing 90 minutes of Denmark's 3-0 win while fellow colleague Sami Hyypia help to keep a clean sheet with Finland's 2-0 win.

Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres played in Spain's 1-0 win over Turkey, Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa and Albert Riera were all unused subs in that game.

Yossi Benayoun had to settle for a 1-1 draw and the midfielder was later substitued on the 77th minute.

Steven Gerrard and Martin Skrtel went head to head with England winning the fixture with a 4-0 win. The Liverpool skipper was on expectional form to provide Emile Heskey with the first goal.
